ABOUT OLPE
Olga Perova, known as Olpe, is a Russian artist based in Switzerland.

For much of my life, I was a passionate observer of art, until 2020, when at the age of 38, I embraced my long-held dream of painting. This marked the beginning of my vibrant journey into the world of colors, techniques, and materials — a delightful experience akin to a child’s first visit to Disneyland.

With a background in finance and extensive experience in the IT industry, embracing the title of “artist” feels both unfamiliar and exhilarating. I see myself more as a transformer of emotions, translating feelings into tangible forms on canvas.
My inspiration is fueled by positivity and the joy i see around me. Painting has become a treasured escape, a space where each blank canvas invites an unexpected journey, transforming memories, moods, and dreams into vibrant expressions.

I am particularly captivated by oversized, textured works that blur the line between painting and sculpture. The diverse materials and techniques available today allow for a rich expression of artistry, where each brushstroke reveals the artist’s touch.
My aim is to create art that resonates with viewers, evoking memories and altering moods in an authentic way.
While it’s early in my artistic journey, I primarily work with high-quality acrylics on canvas, exploring various materials and methods along the way.
Born and raised in Moscow, I have lived in Switzerland, Singapore, and France, and now find myself back in Switzerland, where I’m inspired daily by the majestic mountains visible from my window.
